Quad Cities Disc Golf Club
Meeting Minutes
April 17th, 2007

To begin the meeting we voted for a new Chairman and the newly established Ward positions. This is how it went:

Representing the state of Illinois is Chase Roberts
Representing the state of Iowa is Dan Swords
The Iowa West ward will be represented by Ron Rasmussen
Representing Iowa East is Alex Oehrlein
Illinois West will be represented by Paul Roesner
Illinois East will be represented by Charlie Cushman
And John Resch will be Chairman.

After the voting took place, Chad Eng let us know what was happening with the Rumble and what needed to be done.

Paul’s League report included the following discussions:

Chase will check to see if Jess is still willing/able to run a women’s league. Kathy Betcher recommended running it on Thursdays.

Paul said that beginning the week of April 23rd, CTPs funny money would alternate between Iron Lion and B & B. In addition, all non-club members will be charged $1.00 extra for Milan league. This money will be held to make improvements at the Camden course. He also suggested that after playing a certain number of league rounds as a non-member, a reduced membership rate would be available.

Paul wants to gather all information on available leagues so that it is available to anyone interested in participating. This would include a set payout schedule.

Wes Keppy brought up the Handicapped league. Chase said that he would be interested in sponsoring and helping to get it established but, did not have the time to run it. Brad Ellis and Dan Swords expressed interest in helping to run the event.

It was determined that the interest was there and we should try to run this. Chase and Mike Robinson are the ones with the logistical know how to help get it started.

During Website Committee discussion, Wes also brought up establishing a website that was exclusive to the QCDGC. Mike is willing to put up a new site but needs a new power supply for his computer. Both Wes Keppy and Brad Ellis have volunteered to help out with a new site.

As Merchandise director, Dan Swords reported that he had $112.00 on hand and that we had received a check for $726.00 from B & B.

Dan asked for Merchandise Committee members and Chase and Alex Oehrlein volunteered.

Treasurer reported an account balance of $1066.00

Tracey Lopez announced that the Grand Opening Dedication for the Middle Park course would take place on Friday May 11 at 3:30. And, at 4:00 Jay and Des Reading would give a presentation and clinic.

In other business we discussed the need to get new club T-Shirts made. It was agreed that we should solicit a new design from the membership and have the shirts done by Dennis Gonzalez’ Hippie Golfwear.
