THE QUAD CITIES DISC GOLF CLUB is a not-for-profit volunteer-based group of local Disc Golf enthusiasts who love the sport of Disc Golf. It is our goal to promote and create opportunities for the public to discover and enjoy the sport of disc golf in the the Quad City Area.
The primary mission of the Quad City Disc Golf Club is the
promotion and the betterment of Disc Golf in our community. It is our
intent to increase the visibility of Disc Golf in the QC area by
hosting nationally recognized annual events and attracting
Professional Disc Golf Association championship tournaments to the
Midwest.
Working to expand the availability of courses and maintian existing
courses in the Quad Cities area is a constant effort of the QCDGC. Our
relationships with local city parks departments help ensure that our
courses are safe, clean and enjoyable.
As a result, the Quad City Disc Golf is fostering a sense of community
for disc golfers. For example:
+ We are establishing a growing membership base of dedicated disc
golfers in the Quad City Area and developing that base into a voice.
+ We are establishing ourselves and our sport as responsible members
of the Quad City Area community, and establishing that disc golf
courses would have positive impacts on their respective parks and
communities within our communities.
+ We offer a summer weekly league scored with a handicapping system
for disc golf competitors of all skill levels.
+ We are encouraging the growth of the sport by offering beginners the
opportunity to come out and learn disc golf in a friendly, rewarding
environment.
